The Red Wolf lives wherever their is enough food, water, and good shelter.  This wolf is 15 inches tall, 55 to 65 inches long, and weigh 40 to 90 pounds.  They are smaller than the Gray wolf, but bigger than the Coyote.  Their coat is brown with red and dark grey mixed in.  This animal hunts at dusk/dawn.  They eat smaller animals like rodents and hares.  The Red wolf was once almost completely killed off during the 1900's and 1920's.  Thankfully, we managed to breed a few of the remaining wolves in captivity.  People still hunt them because they consider them pests.
